The Paperboards & Specialty Papers Division (PSPD) of ITC Limited came into existence in November 2002 with the amalgamation of ITC Bhadrachalam Paperboards Ltd. and ITC Ltd. The Division also incorporates Tribeni Tissues, which was merged, with ITC Ltd. in 1992.
The Paperboard facility at Coimbatore was acquired from BILT Industrial Packaging Company in March 2004 and rechristened as Unit Kovai. The commercial production under ITC management started on 29th March 2004.
In September 2002 the Bhadrachalam mill commissioned India's only Elemental Chlorine Free pulp mill with a capacity of 100,000 tonnes a year. All our units namely Bhadrachalam , Bollarum, Tribeni and Kovai are ISO 9002:2000, ISO 14000 & OHSAS 18000 certified.
The Division is the market leader in South Asia in carton boards. We provide paperboard for most leading Fast Moving Consumer Goods brands in India.
We are the largest Exporter of coated boards from India. About 20% of our sales are supplied to the international markets in Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Iran, Australia, UAE, Turkey, China, Singapore, UK, Greece, Germany and USA.
ITC Limited - PSPD is the foremost name in the Paperboards and Specialty Papers business. Its pre-eminent status is a legacy of pioneering efforts and the fulfilment of customer needs. |
